Tan Sri Low Yat
Patriarch and Founder of Low Yat Group and a pioneer as one of the Nation’s Property Developer & Builder. Also a contributor to promoting Tourism Growth in Kuala Lumpur.
During his reign, he is one of the largest stakeholders in many companies that he has built including Pan-Malaysia Cement Works, Southern Bank, AP Land and many others to name a few. His wide portfolio includes Hotel, Property Development, Construction, Mining, Cement Manufacturing, Banking and Tyre Manufacturing.
His contribution to the Nation’s buildings include the Victoria Institution at Petaling Street, government bungalows in Federal Hill, shophouses in Jalan Imbi, Tong Shin Terrace and Jalan Tiong Nam off Jalan Raja Laut, the clubhouse of Royal Selangor Club’s pool, the Government Administrative complex in Petaling amongst many others.

Heir & Successor to the Low Yat Group, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Low Yow Chuan followed his father’s footsteps, continuing the legacy and expanding the already huge portfolio of the company.
His accomplishment includes the building of Langkawi’s 1st hotel, Langkawi Country Club,Penang Mount Pleasure Resort, the Prince Hotel, the Port Dickson Federal Hotel and the Federal Singapore, City Square Centre (KL’s 1st luxury shopping mall), Hotel Fairlane(now known as the Royal Hotel), Low Yat Plaza(KL’s biggest IT mall), The Grace Hotel and The Rushcutters Projectin Sydney Australia to name a few. He expanded the company’s diversified industries when he acquired a Palm Oil Plantation in Kalimantan.
